Dear Flowerblossa,

Happy new year to you although there are hours left on the old one.

I wonder; where did you buy the English translation? I have been looking for it on the net but could not find a place to buy it. Could you help me with a link to an English speaking site since I don't know Korean or Japanese.
Take care
Ida

Dear Ida,

I'm happy to hear that you are interested in this book because I think you will enjoy it very much.

I bought mine on the following site:

http://www.yesasia.com/global/bae-yong-joon-a-journey-in-search-of-koreas-beauty-english-version/1023811412-0-0-0-en/info.html

You should get your book in about 10 days if they have it in stock.
I'm sure a long winter still lies ahead for you in Sweden, so perhaps it will keep you company!

I always appreciate your warm support. May the new year be filled with many happy things for you and your familyヽ(^o^)丿

Dear flowerbossa,

Yesterday I was trying to leave you a comment here twice, but maybe, as it had some links, Blogger took it as spam but I don't know ~_~ Anyways this is what I wanted to say, without the links:

I read a little synopsis about the book and it looks really, really interesting. Maybe I decide to buy it in the coming months. For the moment, I hope you really enjoy reading it, though I'm pretty sure you've already done it ^^

To Ida. If you allow me, you can buy it at YesAsia (there's also a version with a desktop calendar). You can do it with confidence, they have different payment methods and if you live in Europe or the US (there are some other zones too), depending of your total amount (a min. of US$39/30€ aprox.), you don't need to pay the shipping costs. You even can find more information at the site. I hope this could help you and if not, maybe flowerbossa can tell you something more.

You've already given the link to Ida, so that part it doesn't matter anymore :P

Oh... I almost forgot it. I want to take this oportunity for wish you a Happy New Year! Hope 2011 may bring you a lot of happines, health and peace for you and yours ^^

Best regards,
Shinji

Dear Shinji,

Happy New Year!

Thank you for providing detailed info to Ida. It was so kind of you!

About the football talk we've been having on your blog...
It doesn't bore me one bit! Actually, a lot of my BYJ related friends love football as well^^

I have a relative who used to work for the Japan Football Association, so I was able to see the very first J-League game in 1993! I saw the legendary Pele who was there as a guest, and I of course witnessed the first goal made by Marinos' Ramon Diaz^^

Our New Year's holidays goes on till the 3rd. How do you celebrate it in Spain?

Take care^^

Dear flowerbossa,

I'm glad that it doesn't bore you, because I don't want to be repetitive, but if I am in some moment, please tell me ^_^;

Oh! Then you saw the first Marinos victory on J-League. You're so lucky! At those days I only had 8 years old and I didn't knew anything about J-League until a year later, when the World Cup took place in the U.S.. My father bought me an sticker album from the WC and in the Argentina's pages was Gustavo Zapata, who in those days played for Marinos... The rest is a bit long so maybe I should write a post in my blog about it, because gradually, it's the way I have become into a Marinos fan ^^

About the holidays, here in Spain there are 3 official days for holidays: Dec 25th and Jan 1st & 6th. But in schools, the kids have holidays since Dec 22nd until Jan 7th, so a lot of people usually ask for those days of vacation at their jobs too. Maybe you could find strange the Jan 6th, but it's because in that day is when we give and receive gifts. Popularly, this day is known as "Día de Reyes" (lit. Kings's Day) in allusion to the legend of Biblical Magi who visited Jesus. Although it is assumed this day has religious connotations, today almost everyone (myself included) and especially children take it as any holiday. If you want to know more, you can find a lot of information in Wikipedia.

One more time a long comment... Gomen nasai, ne? It's not my style to leave short ones ^^;

Please, take care.

Regards,
Shinji

Dear Shinji,

So you were only a little boy when J-League started! Actually, my son was not born yet (although he came along later that year^^) and I had gone to see the game with my nephews (one of them was 8 years old at the time!)

BTW, Maestro Kim loves football too- I believe he played on the team during high school. He often talks about it on his blog.

Thank you for telling me about the winter holidays in Spain. I did not know that the 6th is such a significant day. I hope you have fun giving and receiving gifts among your family and friends!

p.s. Long comments are always appreciatedヽ(^-^ )/

Dear Flowerbossa,
Sorry for the late reply on your question about New Years Eve celebrations. Haven't been on the computer for some days.
I think New Years Eve here is celebrated the same as everywhere else in the western world with fire works, parties and people coming together with family and friends to "count down" the old year. This year I had a cold and stayed home and watched TV and our neighbors fire works. No fun being with other people when your nose is similar to the one on Rudolph the red nosed reindeer. New Years Day is a holiday and a day off from work. So is Christmas Day and Boxing Day and tomorrow that we call Epiphany, celebrating the wise men coming to Jesus Christ with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh.
After all the holidays the following calendar weeks are sometimes called "ox-weeks" since they have no holidays and it's back to work and the usual toil.
Take care
Ida

Dear Ida,

I'm sorry to hear that you were not well over the New Year holidays. I hope you are feeling better now!

Thank you for a detailed explanation on how you usually spend your holidays. My family is a big fan of Astrid Lindgren's books (my son used to remember Pipi Longstocking's full name^^),and I enjoyed "Christmas in Noisy Village" very much!

Here, we will be celebrating another holiday next Monday - Coming of Age Day. This is the day when you will be able to see a lot of girls who will turn 20 this year in beautiful kimonos.

You take care too!
