《アーティスト情報》
【いちむじん】
高知県出身の「宇高靖人＆山下俊輔」による新世代クラシックギターデュオ。
2004年に結成し、現在は東京を拠点に全国各地のホールやライブハウスでの コンサート及びイベント出演するなど、積極的に音楽活動をしている。彼らはCDやコンサートの中で、ポピュラー、映画音楽、オリジナル曲など発表し続けており、クラシックの枠にとどまらないのびのびとしたギター・サウンドで人々の心を魅了している。ステージでは、その繊細で感傷的な表現力と、研ぎ澄まされたスピード感溢れる演奏で好評です
ユニット名の“いちむじん”とは、高知の古い言葉で“一生懸命”という意味。

高知県立岡豊高等学校卒業。
2001年日本ギターコンクール高校生の部銅賞。
桐朋学園大学短期大学部卒業。桐朋学園芸術短期大学専攻科修了。
ギターを佐藤紀雄、松居孝行、ステファノ・グロンドーナ、アンドレ・ディエチに師事。佐々木忠、トーマスミュラー・ペリング、パブロ・マルケスのマスタークラスを受講。
【ウェイウェイ・ウー】WeiWei Wuu
中国／上海生まれ。５歳からヴァイオリンをはじめる。上海戯曲学校で二胡とヴァオリンを専攻、双方を首席で卒業。その後１９９１年に来日。二胡を通じてさまざまなジャンルのミュージシャンとコラボレーションを精力的に行う。その過程で自ら、従来座って演奏する二胡のスタンディング奏法の考案など、独自の演奏スタイルを確立。ロック、ジャズ、フュージョンとの共演を可能にした、現代二胡のパイオニア的存在。
2002年5月、ワーナー・ミュージック・ジャパンよりメジャーデビューし（現在はソニーミュージックインターナショナル）、これまで6枚のアルバムをリリース。二胡教室と自ら主宰（心弦二胡教室）するほか、坂本龍一氏やケニー・Gとの共演などの国内外のアーティストとのコラボレーション、NHK交響楽団をはじめとするオーケストラとの共演など幅広い活動を続けている。2009年には世界的に活躍する二胡奏者が一堂に会した二胡サミットIN東京をプロデュースしたことでも高い評価を得ている。

2001年1月26日JR新大久保駅でホームから転落した人を助けようと二人の男性がとっさに線路に飛び降り、帰らぬ人となりました。そのうちの一人が韓国人の李秀賢（イ・スヒョン）さん。当時２６歳で日本語学校に通う韓国からの語学留学生でした。
李秀賢さんの「日本と韓国の架け橋になりたい」というご遺志を継ぎたいというご両親のご提案により、スヒョンさんのようにアジアから来て日本語を学ぶ学生たちのための奨学金制度として設立された奨学会です。この奨学会は一般の方々の寄付により運営されています。

Oh... It seems a very promising concert after have listened to both performers. Ichimujin's guys seem very talented and compenetrated. Their music is so calm and cool and I love the sound of the Spanish/Classical guitar.
And WeiWei Wuu... I think I've fall in love with her *_* I like ehru's sound and I also like Wu Ru-Jun a lot, but WeiWei is so talented too. I've always found ehru's sound very relaxing and there are some pieces that sometimes move me to tears because are really beautiful.
I didn't know any of them, so thank you for post about this concert and of course, I hope you will enjoy it if you've plan to go ^^
By the way, Have you had any oportunity to listen to the album Maestro Seikyo Kim recorded with the Flanders Orchestra? I mean the one with the Britten's Cello Concerto. It's because I haven't been able yet.

About the maestro -
unfortunately, I have not had the chance to listen to the new CD.
It seems he learned a lot through his experience in Brussels and Munich lately.
Oh yes, there was a fun TV program this summer where he played some music from video games(o＾∀＾o)

And you've also blushed me with that comment ^////^ I only like music a lot, from all around the world (more from some places than others) and I always like to listen new things and learn about them.
About Maestro's CD... I think I could buy it before Christmas, so if I listen to it, I'll tell you how it sounds.
That TV program sounds funny! Music and music from videogames, two things that I like and interpreted by him. Sounds nice ^^
Oh... Before I forget it, some months ago, casually I found this interview that it seems that were made some years ago. With some translators, I've been able to understand some things, but not all. Perhaps you already had read it, but anyways I thought maybe you could find it entertaining.

Yes, I read the interview you mentioned long time ago (it was when he was working with an orchestra in Osaka - his hometown).
I forget the details, but it was an interesting series.
Recently, there were two articles in the Asahi Shimbun (newspaper) that introdroduced 2 of maestro's favorite movies.

I'm sorry for the late reply. The articles look really interesting, at least we can know more things about the people we admire, besides their work. I also haven't seen any of the two movies, I don't like Julia Roberts so much, but I've read the synopsis for the Al Pacino film and it looks really interesting, I probably will see it. By the way, Asahi is the newspaper that I usually read from Japan, but only its online version in English ^^
Besides, I have great news. Finally I have the CD! I recieved it this last Saturday and I only have listened to it one time. My impression is... I don't know how to say it... It's not the kind of classic music that you can listen while you're reading or working, the two pieces (a Symphony and a Suite) are too dense and heavy, though the orchestra and the soloist sounds pretty good, Maestro has did a good work ^^ Sure, I need to listen to it more, maybe when I need to write something sad or with a little drama on it in one of my stories, it could be inspire me :D

I saw the Al Pacino movie the other night and I must say I enjoyed it very much - Maestro Kim commented that it was the kind of film you would want rewatch in different phases of life (you could identify with different characters) and I agree with him. I hope you have the chance to see it too!
AND, thank you for your views on the new CD. I have not had the opportunity to listen to it, but I understand now that it is certainly not a piece that can be taken lightly! That must have been a big challenge for the Maestro!
