Thank you for this post produced by Pinky Ring. I enjoyed reading it very much, the pictures of Lacquers I've seen so far are just beautiful...no wonder BYJ is attracted to Lacquer art.
I also enjoyed Saitama4's work in the last post :)

Same with myoce, I enjoyed Saitama4's work too. I am always amazed how talented some of our baesisters are.
Too bad I don't understand Japanese, but I still enjoyed the beautiful pictures you posted here.

Hello yudi,
Remember the watches Jeon sonsen-nim made? He mentioned in the lecture held in Kyoto that the most expensive one costed 52.5 million yen, but all of the watches including that one sold out!
In the future, he hopes to share the world of lacquer with the people in the west. Perhaps he will travel to your country and give a lecture too!

Dear flowerbossa,
It’s so good to know that Jeon sonsen-nim’s creative work and the beauty of lacquer arts were recognized and valued by people. I would jump for joy if Jeon sonsen-nim come and give a lecture here, and hopefully he will bring a picture of that most expensive watch (525,000 US dollars? I double checked my calculation to make sure it’s right, hehe).
I read the news of the new Yonsama lunchbox, looks so delicious….drooling. How lucky Japanese sisters are.

The watches are so exquisite aren't they? Wish I could see them too, but I dare not touch them!
About the lunch box....
I tried the first one that came out last year, and it was quite good - not only was it tasty but beautifully prepared. I think most sisters thought it was worth the price^^
